As part of modernizing its facilities and at the same time transferring from analogue to digital. KTV
intended to replace the existing Studio-500 analogue equipment with updating digital facilities incorporating
the latest technology. The studio was planned to be completely digital video and audio recording and feed in/out signals.
The SD-only Studio 500 has now been given a new look and equipped with seven Thomson Grass Valley LDK 500 cameras,
one wireless GV studio camera, concerto router, Kroma TFT Monitors & other state-of-the-art equipment.

| Studio 500 was in need of a major upgrade. For one, it
was built thirty years ago. Although a brief effort was made to upgrade
the studio a few years ago, it is only now that Kuwait TV undertook
a complete revamp of the studio. Apart from putting in new equipment,
the upgrade included redoing the entire technical floor of the studio
as well as its lighting and its walls. INC undertook the project in
conjunction with Thomson Grass Valley. |

INC worked towards a very tight deadline between July 2005 and
September 2005 so that the studio would be ready for the production
of programs during Ramadan, one of the peak television viewing seasons
in the Arab world, the time schedule was extremely challenging.
Training for the new equipment has also been ongoing both during
the installation as well as after, so that has also been taken care
of.

We had to pre-wire the whole studio at INC Platform, where as and
at the same time, massive civil, construction and electrical tasks
which were done by INC as well were on going at studio 500 control
room. We decided to go for this solution to save as much time as
we could to ensure we make the customer deadline.

We are very proud in INC to say that the studio came out as a great
success in both installation quality and timing of accomplishment.
